From parking permits to social assistance applications: municipalities send thousands of messages to citizens every day. This happens through hundreds of different systems, each with its own style and method. The Municipality of The Hague decided that things had to change and was one of the first municipalities to implement NotifyNL: an open-source notification component that ensures uniform, reliable communication with residents and businesses. Vincent van Beek, Chief Product Owner of the Service Platform at the Municipality of The Hague, says: “With NotifyNL, you have access to a global open-source facility for notifying your residents and entrepreneurs, with guaranteed ongoing development.”
